Robert "Bob" Joseph Miller

Robert “Bob” Joseph Miller Robert, 73, passed away in his home with his loving family by his side on March 23, 2024. He was born December 23, 1950, in Altoona Pennsylvania. The son of Harry and Delores. He graduated from Hollidaysburg High School, class of 1968. Following graduation, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1969-1973 as a Flight Medic and worked as a Hospital Corpsman on the USS Tripoli LPH-10 for 3 years. After his time in the Navy, he traveled and spent time with friends and family till he attended nursing school at Penn State then furthered his education in Austin Texas. After earning a degree as a registered nurse, he worked in the local hospitals till he decided to become an ER traveling nurse. He did that for over 30 years till he met his wife Linda and settled into small country living. Nursing was his passion. He worked with the VA in Albuquerque NM for the last several years of his life with an amazing staff he referred to as friends. Robert met his wife Linda of Moriarty NM and became an instant family man. He didn’t take his role in her life lightly, but he took it happily. He took on the role as husband, dad, and grandpa, easily. His favorite role was grandpa. He spent many days with a happy child at his side. He devoted his life to his family in every way. He spent most of his free time with his family or outdoors. He always had a tool in hand or a new flower or plant in a garden for his wife. He enjoyed traveling with his family and showing Linda new places. Growing up in PA, he grew to be an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and recently traveled to Las Vegas to watch them beat the Raiders. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by younger brother Steve, and younger sister Judy. Surviving in addition to his wife, Linda, are his son Frank Romero and wife Trinity of Moriarty New Mexico. Daughter Crystal Baca and husband Greg of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Joseph Romero. Nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Brother Bill (Connie) Miller of Georgia. Sisters Terrie of Pennsylvania, Pattie (Jim) Gorski of Pennsylvania, and Vickie (Denny) Woomer of Pennsylvania. His niece Nicole (Fran) Ludwig of GA, whom he had a special bond with, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers: Frank Romero, Greg Baca, Kevin Baca, Emilio Baca, Hillario Villa, Francisco Villa. Honorary Pallbearers, Joseph (Cruzita) Romero, Joseph Romero III, Olivia Romero, Matthias Romero, Savannah Romero, Atreyu Romero, Freyja Romero, and Kendra Baca. Celebration of life will be held at Calvary Chapel Estancia Valley 2 Saline Pump Rd, Moriarty, NM 87035 on April 2, 2024. The viewing will be at 11:00 am with services beginning at 12:00. Services will be led by Pastor Mike Nasci. Funeral Services were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary 807 Central Ave. Moriarty, NM 87035.
