MartyJo Alex Therese Sidney Encinias, also known to family and friends as Marty or MJ, passed away on April 26, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM. MartyJo was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico, to Martin Encinias and Joycelyn Martinez on November 13, 1993. MartyJo was raised in Stanley, NM, and lived on a farm most of her life, which she enjoyed. MartyJo was a member of Los Amigos 4-H Club, where she showed pigs, sheep, and cattle. She was also a member of Moriarty’s FFA Chapter where she judged horticulture. She graduated from Moriarty High School in 2012. She attended New Mexico Highlands University and worked for her family's business, Daylight Donuts. MartyJo enjoyed decorating cakes and was very artistic and talented. MartyJo was loving, caring, and more than willing to help anyone in need. Marty loved everyone and cared deeply about her family. MartyJo was the oldest sibling of three and enjoyed spoiling her brother and sister. She loved her friends and had a big heart for kids. She loved and treated Maddie, Remi, and Rubi like her own nieces. MartyJo loved her nephew Gage and spoiled him with gifts every time he visited her. MartyJo is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alejandro and Theodora Encinias; maternal great-grandmother Josephine Hays; Aunt Darlene Hays-Coca; and Uncle Horacio "Paco" Encinias. MartyJo is survived by her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Gloria Martinez, of Las Vegas; her dad, Martin Encinias, of Stanley, NM; and Joycelyn Martinez (James Giron) of Moriarty, NM. Her siblings are Marvin and MarkyLyn Encinias of Moriarty, NM. She is survived by her nephew, Gage Encinias, of Moriarty, NM. She is also survived by her uncles, Mark (Kim) Martinez of Santa Fe, NM; Hermando (Betty) Encinias of Las Vegas, NM; and Ralph (Corrine) Encinias of Connecticut. She is also survived by many great-aunts and uncles, cousins, and close friends. Rosary will be at 9:00 am for MartyJo at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church in Moriarty with Funeral Mass at 10 am on Thursday, May 11, 2023. A meal will be served at Moriarty Civic Center at 12 pm. Interment will follow after the meal in Las Vegas at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Paul Bearers: Tristan Encinias, Sam Coca, Joel Shipman Jr., Evan Don Miranda, Ernesto Coca, Miguel Velasquez and Casey Encinias.
