Obituary of Wayne Monroe Yeaw We are saddened to announce the passing of Wayne Monroe Yeaw on September 21, 2021, Wayne was aged 81 years (June 13, 1940). He was the oldest son of Marion Austin Yeaw and Gardner Monroe Yeaw of Cranston, Rhode Island. He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Yeaw both of Mountainair, New Mexico. He is survived by his Stepson, Steven Roger Hamm and his wife Christine of North Kingston, Rhode Island. Additionally, he is survived by his brothers: Walter Howard Yeaw and his wife Roxanna Yeaw of Fort Myers, Florida: Dennis Gardner Yeaw and his wife Ann Marie Girouard, of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Wayne is also survived by his niece Kimberly Yeaw Borys, her husband, Jay and their children and his nephew Gregory Michael Yeaw and his wife Michelle Yeaw and their children. Wayne grew up in the Town of Fiskeville, which is a part of Cranston, Rhode Island. He attended a two--room school with two teachers, Ms. Greene and Ms. Parsons. He graduated from Cranston High School, class of 1958. Wayne was a hard worker in many different professions, he initially worked with his father in his dad’s floor covering business. He then worked as a land surveyor. He then worked at the Providence Gas Company as a supervisor of meter reading staff, and then credit manager. He was also a part time police officer in the Coventry, Rhode Island. He retired as a Lieutenant in a security organization. In addition to having worked in various professions, he dated and married Joyce, they resided in Warwick, Rhode Island prior to moving to Mountainair, New Mexico, It was in the small town, in the middle of nowhere that he started a ranch raising Ostriches, unfortunately he was unable to locate a slaughterhouse, but he continued raising and selling the Ostriches. It was this time in his life that he joined a security company raising to the rank of Lieutenant before retiring to the life of a Gentleman Rancher. Aside from his work, he followed in father’s footsteps by becoming a Mason and prior to joining the Masons, He was a Past Master Counselor of a DeMolay chapter in Coventry. At the age of twenty-one, he joined, Ionic Lodge #28 of Masons in Green, Rhode Island where he worked his way up to be elected as Master of the Lodge, in 1974. While his family was small, he was a great brother to Walter and Dennis, and husband to Joyce. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him as great friend to those who got to know him Funeral services will be private at the convenience of his family. He will be laid to rest beside his wife Joyce, in Mountainair, New Mexico.
