Walter Wayne Wilcox Jr.

Walter Wayne Wilcox Jr., 64, passed away on June 22, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on March 31, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Walter Wayne and Nellie Marie (Wise) Wilcox Sr. He was a beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and uncle. Walter came to New Mexico in 1976 where he met the love of his life, Linda Chavez. Walter loved fishing, hunting and planting in his garden. He loved and cared for everyone around him. He was a kind an caring man who will be missed by all who knew him. Walter is also preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Wilcox and brother, Robin Wilcox. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Wilcox; daughters, Christie Wilcox and Melissa Wilcox (Sara Campos); brothers, Carl Wilcox (Rosemary) and Jason Larue; niece, Celeste Salazar; nephew, Carl Wilcox Jr. as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Walter was blessed with 2 grandchildren, Allan Foster and Breanna Wilcox. A Private Family Graveside Memorial Service will take place at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Moriarty, New Mexico.
