Obituary 

Vonda Lee Cammack, 69 a long time resident of Moriarty, NM passed away July 1, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM. Vonda was born, May 14, 1955 in Sacramento, KY to James Earl and Helen Ruth (Smith) Daugherty. 

Vonda was raised in Owensboro, KY and Albuquerque, NM. She met and married Donald Paul Cammack on 23 Jan 1976 in Arco, ID. Vonda followed Donald in the military when Overseas and Stateside serving in base chapels for Sunday School and Arts & Crafts at Vacation Bible School. In 1993, after Donald's military retirement, they moved to Moriarty, NM and she cared for her father and brother until their passing in 2008. She served in the First Baptist Church of Moriarty Sunday School & VBS and volunteered for many years at The Bethal Storehouse. She started a program in Tacoma, WA collecting toys for children in a domestic violence shelter and then carried that program forward in Moriarty’s Bethel Storehouse in the form of filling Christmas Stockings, a program that continues today. She served the Moriarty City Library as Santa at Christmas parties for many years, a fundraiser for "Friends of the Library". She received record pledges for Care Net for several years during their annual walk for life. VONDA SHARED HER LOVE FOR JESUS WITH ALL SHE MET. 

Vonda is preceded in death by her parents; Brothers, James E. Daugherty Jr., and Monty Ray Daugherty; sister, Gloria Ann Daugherty. Vonda is survived by her Husband Donald Paul Cammack of Moriarty, NM; uncle, Roger & Cindy Smith of Jarales, NM; Aunts, Wanda Hill of Henderson, KY, and Nina McKinney of Owensboro, KY; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and the Cammack family members who loved her dearly too. 

Funeral services will be held at a later date. Her cremains will be placed in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM
