Thomas James Thomas

Thomas James Thomas, 81, of Edgewood, NM passed away Wednesday January 6, 2021at his home. Thomas was born September 25, 1939, in Tucumcari, NM to Larry and Irene (Barnes) Thomas. Thomas was very involved with racing horses and was a member of the Jockey Club and Herman and Sons. He is preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister. Thomas proudly served his country in the US Navy. Thomas is survived by his wife, Clara Moore-Thomas of Edgewood, NM; three sons, Jeffrey W. Grimley of Atoka, OK, John A. Grimley and his wife Robin of Paris, TX, and Thomas James Thomas Jr of Cleveland, TN; one daughter, Woodrena Hegwood and her husband Tony of Lafayette, GA; three brothers Richard Dunlap, Jimmy (Jim) Dunlap and Harold Thomas; three sisters Peggy Melott, Jenell Diedrich and Karen Boyer. Funeral services and burial at the Santa Fe National cemetery will be taking place. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
