Theresa "Terry" Candelaria

Terry Candelaria beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully at Presbyterian Hospital after a brief illness on Monday November 28, 2022. Terry was born on March 17, 1935, in Tajique, NM to Emilio Barela and Agustina Otero Barela. She is survived by her four Daughters and Son In-Laws: Debbie, Priscilla (Michael), Corinne (Ray Sr.), and Tina (Bert). Eight grandchildren, Francine, Fabian, Ray Jr., Leroy Jr., Melissa, Wesley, Augustus, & Sheridan as well as three great grandchildren, Heaven Lee, Mya, & Ramon. Terry is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pete of 53 years, infant daughter Mary Sabbath, and her grandson Patrick. Terry spent 87 years on this earth believing in God and knowing that everything happens for a reason keeping her Catholic Faith strong through good times and bad times. She welcomed everyone into her home with her beautiful blue eyes, a hug and a glowing smile. She constantly taught us all to be loving and caring individuals and never pass judgement. To her everyone was family, and most knew her as “Nanny”. She constantly filled our hearts with love, memories and our stomachs with lots of wonderful food. Viewing will be Friday, December 2, 2022, prior to the Holy Rosary at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Fr. Lancaster, Celebrant. Pallbearers are her Grandsons Fabian, Ray Jr., Leroy Jr., Wesley, Augustus, and her Godson James. Rest In Peace our Beautiful Beloved Angel (Mom) and may God grant you Eternal Rest, Peace and Joy as you reunite with our Dad (Pete) in Heaven.
