Stephan Richard Bernal, 66, a life time resident of Mountainair, NM, passed away Thursday September, 29, 2022 in Mountainair, NM. Stephan was born July 4, 1956 to Pedro and Ramona (Serna) Bernal in Mountainair, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Margaret Salazar, brother Frank Bernal, grandson Edward Salazar Jr, and nephew David Bernal. Stephan was survived by his wife Charlene Bernal of Mountainair, NM; four sons, Victor Bernal of Mountainair, NM, Roger Salazar of Mountainair, NM, Chris Salazar and his wife Sonia of Moriarty, NM, and Edward Salazar Sr. and his wife Amber of Mountainair, NM; three sisters, Susan McCart, Carmen Bernal, and Dorothy Sandoval and her husband Ed; one brother LeeRoy Bernal and his wife Marina; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandson. Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 15, 2022; rosary 9:30 AM and Mass at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at the Mountainair Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary.
