Shayla Rae Tafoya

Shayla Rae Tafoya, 27,  met the eyes of Jesus on February 19, 2018. She was born on August 12, 1990 in Albuquerque New Mexico. She was a loving daughter, sister, grandaughter, niece and friend to many. Shayla was proceeded in death by grandmother Nita Feldmann, grandfather Peter Feldmann, Uncle JC,  Hito Traven Meeker and Son Jax Tafoya. Shayla is survived by her Father Paul A. Tafoya of Mountainair NM, Mother Saunja Gelvin and husband Richard of Mountainair NM, Sister Felecia Tafoya of Ruidoso NM, Brother Joshua Tafoya and Fiancé Simone Roybal of Mountainair NM, Grandparents  Ralph Tafoya and Susan Lone Eagle of Mountainair NM, Grandparents Fabiola and David Gomez of Mountainair NM, Grandparents Donna and Monty Oney of Earlsboro OK, Several Aunts and Uncles and numerous cousins. Shayla will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and friends.  Services will be at the Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Mountainair, NM on Saturday February 24, 2018 at 3:00 PM. Pastor Darrell Roberts will officiate. Pallbearers will be Joshua Tafoya,  Cliff Tafoya, Jaden Meeker, Jacob Oney, Santiago Garcia and  Marcelino Romero. Interment will be at the Mountainair Cemetery.
