Servando Acadiz Acosta

Servando Acadiz Acosta, 81, a resident of McIntosh, NM, passed away January 27, 2022 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born August 31, 1940 in Colonia Cuauhtemoc, Chihuaha, Mexico, to Servando Ornelas and Aurora (Acadiz) Acosta. Servando met and married Maria Clara Ruiz in April of 1996 at the Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, NM. Servando will be remembered for his sense of humor, his dance moves like no other and a smile that will light up any room. His compassionate heart, hilarious jokes and his hugs will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Servando is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Manuel Acosta, and Lorenzo Acosta; one sister Cipriana Acosta Gonzalez; and one brother in law Pedro Ramirez. He is survived by wife of 26 years Maria Clara Ruiz de Acosta of McIntosh, NM; six children, Maria Lourdes Caballero Ruiz of McIntosh, NM, Luis Carlos Caballero Ruiz and wife Jazmin Guadalupe of Juarez, Mexico, Ricardo Caballero Ruiz of Los Lunas, NM, Servando Acosta Jr and wife Donna of McIntosh, NM, Victor Manuel Acosta and wife Julianna of Edgewood, NM, and Saul Armando Acosta and wife Clara of Estancia, NM; four brothers, Ramon Acosta Acadiz and wife Socorro, Roman Acosta Acadiz and wife Silvia, Jesusmaria Acosta Acadiz and wife Yolanda, and Gilbert Acosta Acadiz; two sisters Rosa Acosta de Ramirez, and Maria Guadalupe Acosta de Astorga and husband Antelmo; 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022. The viewing at 9:00 am to 10:00 am, rosary at 10:00 am and Mass 11:00 am, all at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM, with Father Peter officiating. Burial will follow at the Estancia Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Caballero, Servando Acosta, Victor Acosta, Saul Acosta, Victor Acosta Jr, Luis Caballero Jr, Ricardo Caballero Jr, and Edgar Felix. Honorary pallbearers will be all Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
