Santiago Jimmy Nieto

Santiago (Jimmy) Nieto 77, of Edgewood, New Mexico peacefully passed away at his home on September 1, 2022. Jimmy was born March 1, 1945 to Fernando and Estanislada Nieto. Jimmy is survived by his son Daniel F. Nieto, his stepson Markham E. Kearns; his granddaughters, Lindsey Nieto, and Katelin Nieto; his sisters, Dolores Otero of Albuquerque, NM and Estanislada (Lala) Martinez and her husband Joe Martinez of Casper, Wyoming; three nieces, Becky Sandoval, Stella Salcido and Michelle Montoya; and one nephew, David Otero. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tony Nieto, and sisters, Petrita, Virginia, Juanita, and Shirley Nieto. Jimmy worked hard and loved his ranch. He was inseparable from his beloved best friend (Chico). Our father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend will be greatly missed until we meet again. Memorial services will be held Friday September 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM follow by the burial at the Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, NM.
