Ruth Darlene Theora English

RUTH DARLENE THEORA ENGLISH, 79, of Edgewood, New Mexico entered into rest on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at home with her family. Ruth was born on January 24, 1944 to Oscar and Laura (Besmer) Heller, on the Heller farm located 10 miles outside of Wisner, Nebraska. She attended country school. She married the love of her life Duane English on November 2, 1963 at the Zion Lutheran Church outside of Wisner, Nebraska. They went on to have 3 children. Duane and Ruth were together for 62 years, and loved each other every day. Ruth enjoyed playing sports, traveling, baking in their donut shop and at home. She also began painting on rocks that she and Duane collected, finally moving her painting to canvas. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and the greatest laugh ever. Ruth and Duane moved around the country with their daughter (Shana), and ended up making home in Edgewood, New Mexico. She retired many years ago but finally fully retired from all forms of work to live out the rest of her life. After fighting a hard 9 year fight with multiply forms of cancer, she has returned home to join the Lord in Heaven. Ruth loved watching sunrises and sunsets. The morning of her death, the family watch a beautiful sunrise to send her home. The sunrise was full of purples, oranges and clouds of white and her favorite color blue. She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Laura Heller, sisters Lucille (Marcelous) Luedke, Renata (Elmer) Birky, Beverly (Marvin) Kindschuh, brothers, Merlin Heller and Melvern Heller. In-Laws, David English, Frank Christiansen, and Jim Flowers. Ruth is survived by her husband Duane English, children Chris (Jenny) English, Chad (Chrystile) English and Shana English; six grandchildren, Austin (Draven) Buchanan, Kyle (Christina) English, Nickolas Barritt, Bailey (Alonzo) Ruble, Tyson English and Morgan English; Five Great-Grandchildren, Brycen, Berret, Avi Ruble, Kara Barritt and one on the way (Easton English); sisters, Marrion Christiansen, Betty Lou (Richard) Lines, Janet English, LaVina Flowers, Karen (Steve) Young; In-laws, Evelyn Heller, Betty Heller; Betty (Larry) Hjorth and Donnie (Suzie) English; also several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
