Roy Dee Shield

Roy Dee Shield, 64, passed away on March 10, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on February 4, 1956 to the late Bob and Helen Marie (Gibbs) Shield. Roy was a lifelong resident of NM. In his spare time, he loved woodworking, welding and cooking. He was known for his whimsical yard art and yummy enchiladas. He was a member of the Faith Family Fellowship in Estancia, NM and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Roy is also preceded in death by his grandson, Shane Fultz; brother, Dan Shield and sister, Bobbie Greenling. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Shield; stepson, William “Randy” Westfall and wife Emily; daughters, Crystal Fultz and husband Steve, Sara Fultz and husband Tim and Sunny Martinez and husband Antonio and brother, Allen Shield and wife Nancy. Roy was blessed with 17 grandchildren. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. Chaplain Kay L. Reed will officiate.
