Robert James DeBuck, 77, resident of Tijeras, NM passed away on July 26, 2022, at his home in Tijeras, NM. Robert was born December 28, 1944, to Gilbert and Margaret Elizabeth (Hitchens) DeBuck. He married Ruth Frances Ordway on October 10, 1970. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Billy DeBuck; brother, Jack DeBuck; sister Margaret DeBuck; grandson, Dylan Eric Lee; granddaughters, Joycelyn DeBuck, Katie Covell and grandnephew, Jesse DeBuck. Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth Ordway DeBuck; sons, Olenn DeBuck, Asa DeBuck, Peter DeBuck, Charles DeBuck, Rob DeBuck, Joseph DeBuck; daughters, Alisha Hamilton, Geanie DeBuck, Nicole Papini, Amber Pearce, Arianne Edge, Michaela Covell, Julia DeBuck; 50 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM; Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM all at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Edgewood, NM. Burial to follow at the Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, NM. Pallbearers will be Asa DeBuck, Peter DeBuck, Charles DeBuck, Joey DeBuck, Rob DeBuck, Robby DeBuck, and Billy DeBuck. Honorary Pallbearers are Olenn DeBuck, Brian Hamilton, Jamie Papini, Corey Edge, Eric Lee, Michael Covell, Shawn Pearce, Wayne Shumsker and David DeBuck. Robert’s life was defined by his love for Christ, his family, and anyone around him. He was devoted to serving in any way for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was gifted in his work with his company, Buck Electric. His patriotism motivated him to place the American flags that fly at the Sedillo Hill overpass on I-40 since 9/11 and has inspired others to carry on the tradition. He was known for his lifelong study of the gospel, need for Diet Coke and ice cream, generosity, Yiddish jokes, nuggets of wisdom and ability to jimmy rig anything.
