Robert Rios Arroyos SR., age 82, passed away at a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 21, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. Robert's life journey began when he was born on January 30, 1942 in Hanover, New Mexico to parents Cayetano Moralez Arroyos/Arrollos and Jeronima Rios Arrollos residents of Santa Rita, New Mexico. At the young age of three, Robert's father passed away leaving his mother to care for him and his brothers and sisters. Robert's mother Jeronima migrated the whole family to Orange County in southern California. While Robert was still young. They settled in a small sleepy hispanic town called EL Modena in the city of Orange, California that was surrounded by Orange grove trees at the time. As Robert got older he attended Orange High school in Orange County California in 1956. He met his wife Vera in high school too and she was from his hometown also. The two quickly became high school sweethearts and married in 1961. Robert went on to raise his family in EL Modena, California and in his adult life he became a minister of the gospel influencing several people's lives. His life was well spent serving our lord Jesus Christ. In Robert's adult life he worked several factory jobs to support his wife and family in California. He also was a teamsters union member and was a spokes person for people at his job. He was a hard worker also. In Robert's later years he made the decision to move back to New Mexico the southwest to a town called Edgewood. There in Edgewood is where Robert chose to spend his golden years with his wife Vera enjoying the landscape and weather that New Mexico has to offer. Robert's passions and hobbies were reading, fishing, traveling, and eating New Mexico cuisine. Robert is survived by his loving wife Vera of 63 years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughters, Annette Gonzalez & family, His daughter Cynthia Guerrero & family, his daughter Debra Wadlow (deceased) & family, and son, Robert Arroyos Jr. & family. Robert is survived by 12 grandchildren who are, Hector Jr., Heidi, Sarah, Marc, Michael, Rebecca, Amy, Crystal, Robert Jr. the third, Angelique, Andre, and Aidan. He is survived also by 5 great-grandchildren. Robert will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. 

Funeral services will be held on the same day on Tuesday. February 4th at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary 807 central Ave, Moriarty NM 87035 at the onsite chapel. Viewing will be from 11:00am to 2:00pm For family & invited guests 

Interment burial will be from 2pm to 4pm following at Mountain view cemetery 1343 Martinez RD, Moriarty NM 87035
