Robert Anthony Griffin, 91, passed away on September 15, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on September 29, 1928 in Lawrence, Kansas to the late Clarence and Agnes (Theis) Griffin. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus, National Rifle Association, and a member of the McIntosh Senior Citizens Center. Robert served his country proudly in the United States Army as a distinguished marksman. He retired from US Army Reserves as SGT FC. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Griffin; sister, Katherine Fayle and brothers, James Griffin, Patrick Griffin and Clarence Griffin. He is survived by his brother, Albert Griffin and wife Kay of NM; sisters, Teresa Griffin of NM and Mary Hogland of NM as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, New Mexico. The Rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M. and the Celebration of Mass to follow at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico at 1:30 P.M. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Griffin, William Griffin, Christopher Reisinger, Alan Tillery, Patrick Griffin and Michael Oakes.
