Rita Fay Brooks

Rita Fay Brooks, 80, passed away on November 11, 2019 in Edgewood, NM. She was born on September 11, 1939 in Ada, OK to the late Stanley and Pauline (Riedel) Chilcoat. Rita has been a resident of New Mexico for over 50 years she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the age of 12 and continued serving faithfully throughout her entire life.  Rita loved her family, she loved antiquing and restoring old pieces and bringing them back to life, she managed Forgotten  Treasure Antiques for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brooks and sister, Paula Etier. Rita is survived by her son, Wade Brooks and wife Tina; daughters, Karrie Hardman and husband Gregg, Tawanna Thames and husband Darrell and Jonna Wirch and husband Mark; sisters, Leta Fairchild, Sue Torres and Lora Taylor as well as several nieces and nephews. Rita was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A private family Memorial Service will be held.
