Richard Raymond Keach

Richard Raymond Keach, 78, passed away on June 8, 2021 in Rio Rancho, NM. He was born on December 20, 1942 to the late Arthur and Marjory (Johnson) Keach in Santa Fe, NM. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bette Lynn (Pond) Keach and brother Warren Keach. Richard is survived by his daughters, Christina Keach and Rachel Ryan as well as grandchildren Tiffany, Timothy and Jessica Ryan. Richard married his high school sweetheart months after returning from serving his country in Viet Nam in 1967. Richard and Bette moved to Albuquerque in the early 1970’s and had their first child, Rachel, in 1974. They exchanged the city views for clear country skies in 1977 and had their second child, Christina, in 1979. He was a member of the Edgewood Volunteer Fire Department for many years and loved making leatherwork wallets and crafts for friends and family. A retired Mechanical Senior Designer and usher at Bethel Church for over 40 years, Richard was a much loved member of the East Mountain community and always had a smile to share. His hugs and exclamation of “SoS DoD” will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service is scheduled for July 3rd at 10:00 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Moriarty, NM.
