Reynaldo Robert Lujan

Reynaldo Robert Lujan (40) sadly passed away peacefully on the morning of April 25, 2023, surrounded by family. He was born on April 12, 1983 in Albuquerque NM and was a local to the south valley. He is survived by his father Fermin Lujan Sr., his mother Diane (Sanchez) Lujan, brother Gilbert Sanchez and wife Leeann Sanchez, grandmother Mary Lujan, and grandmother Joan Beltran. Rey also left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Rey is preceded in death by his younger brother Fermin Lujan Jr., and two grandfathers, Avancio (Benny) Lujan and Robert Sanchez. Rey graduated from Clovis High School in 2001 where he was a proud football player for the Clovis Wildcats. After highschool Rey worked with his uncle Fito laying floor and carpet. Rey was a precious and kind son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He cared deeply about his family and friends, and loved to help people. Rey’s mom was the love of his life and his dad was his best friend. Rey touched so many hearts in his own special way. He had a nickname for almost everyone. Rey never let his disadvantages hold him back from anything. He shined every day of his life through his awesome personality and giving heart. In Rey’s last few minutes of life, surrounded by family, he cried three little tears- a last goodbye blessing to his mom, his dad, and his brother. Rey, you will be greatly missed as you start this new journey. You will always be remembered as the gentle, strong and compassionate man who lived life to the absolute fullest. You will be remembered for never giving up nor letting anything stand in your way. OAs we look up to the heavens for a sign, we will always hear “Shoot the moon”. We love you Rey, Forever. Funeral Services will be held Friday May 12, 2023 New Beginnings Church 4770 Montgomery Blvd, NE Albuquerque, 87109 Viewing begins at 9am Services begin at 10am, with a reception to follow. Burial will be Saturday May 20, 2023 at 1pm Los Padillia’s Cemetery Reception to follow at the home of Fermin and Diane.
