Reyez Cruz Herrera

Reyez Herrera, 25, passed away in a tragic car accident on October 24, 2024, in Tajique, New Mexico. He was born on July 6, 1999, in Chilili, New Mexico, to Lucha Herrera and Juan Perea and had four siblings. The love of his life came into the world on May 5, 2020, Kai Rey Herrera. Reyez was a loving Son, Grandson, Brother, Cousin, Friend, and Father. Reyez was an exceptional athlete with many awards. He was a hard worker and truly cared about his family, friends, and people in general. Reyez was a humble, kind-hearted young man, that could always make you laugh. Reyez loved spending time with his family, hunting, cooking, dancing, and making memories with his son. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Tony M. Herrera Jr. and Luis A. Perea, and his uncle, David Hernandez. He is survived by his son, Kai Rey Herrera. His mother Lucha Herrera. Brother Estevez Lee Herrera and sister Estrella Anjelika Herrera Perea. Grandmother Marie Cheney. Uncle, Armando Herrera. Aunts Daniella Herrera and Mariaelena Herrera Lovato. Cousins, Dakoda Herrera Moorhead, his wife Megan Moorhead. Aasia Herrera Silva, her husband Miguel Silva, and their daughters Mandalay Silva and Aspen Silva. Montana Herrera Moorhead. India Herrera Lawhorn, her husband Quinn Lawhorn, and their daughter Hazel Lawhorn. Deizel Herrera Lovato, and Brooklin Herrera Lovato. His father Juan Ramon Gonzalez Perea. Sister Dominique Sanchez and brother Luis Jesus Perea. Grandmother Yolanda Perea. Uncles Luis Perea Jr. and Guillermo Perea, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Services will be at Estancia High School Gymnasium on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The viewing is at 9 am, and Life of Celebration is at 11 am. Burial will be at 27 Capilla Peak Rd, Manzano, New Mexico.
