Raquel Celeste Morales

Obituary Raquel Celeste Morales, 21, passed away on October 29, 2021 in Grants, New Mexico. She was born on October 30, 1999. Raquel went to La Cueva High School for 9th grade, she was on the Dance Team. She went to Grants High School for 10th grade and decided she didn't like school. She went for her GED and excelled on her scores. The GED coordinator called mom to let her know how smart Raquel was and how impressed he was. She was offered a 12,000 dollar grant for college. She worked for a day care center and then with the Grants Headstart. She loved kids so much! She also loved her dog and cat and treated them like they were her babies. Her passion was make-up and she was amazing at it!! She was so silly, fun and full of life! She loved with all her heart and touched so many lives. She was a one of a kind special young lady and loved by all especially her family! Raquel is preceded in death by her grandfather, Dagoberto Morales and Aunt, Leticia Morales. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Gonzales; father, Rosendo Morales; stepfather, Gilbert Gonzales; sister, Chelsea Morales and her fiancé Colt Preston; step sisters, Felicia Arreola and Clarissa Gonzales; maternal grandparents, Clemente and Ruth Saavedra; paternal grandmother, Esther Morales and step grandfather, Gilbert Gonzales. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at The Way, The Truth and The Life Church in Grants, New Mexico. The Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park Cemetery in Grants, NM. Pallbearers will be Jerome Lucero, Randy Saavedra, Colt Preston, David Avila, Nathan Jaramillo and Jared Jones. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM
