Pedro Allan Sandoval

Pedro Allan Sandoval, 16, met the eyes of Jesus on January 14, 2020. He was born on September 6, 2003 in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Pedro was a member of the Moriarty High School Football , Basketball and Track Teams, 4H and Sociedad De San Jose. He was a National Junior Honor Society Member, President of the National Honor Society Manuel Sandoval Chapter, member of the All Metro All Academic Football Team in 2019-2020. Pedro was a member of the All District Football Team in 2018-2019 and 2019-2020, was a State Champion at the 2019 National History Day, National Finalist for the 2019 National History Day and a State Qualifier for his Track Team in his freshman and sophomore years. Pedro played Varsity Football his freshman, sophomore and Junior year. He played Varsity Basketball his sophomore and junior year. Pedro received numerous academic awards and lettered in track his freshman and sophomore year and Eagle Sport Award in 2017 at Edgewood Middle School as well as Alter Server. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community. Pedro loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping and fire making. He also loved gaming with his brother and friends from all over the world. He loved working with kids and shared their love of sugar. No matter what Pedro did, he did it with passion and an unmatched intestinal fortitude. Pedro was also goofy and loved joking around. He often spoke with a Russian accent for hours on end. Pedro’s goal was to attend Notre Dame and be apart of the Fighting Irish. Pedro positively impacted every life he touched; his love of God was mighty. Pedro is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joan Daw and paternal grandfather Frank Sandoval. He is survived by his parents, Ernie and Alexandra Sandoval; sister, Camille Sandoval; maternal grandfather, Allan Price Daw; Paternal grandmother, Doris Sandoval as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Moriarty High School Gymnasium. The Rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M. The Celebration of Mass will follow at 10:00 A.M. Father Lancaster will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers will be the entire student body of Moriarty High School. Burial will be at the Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, New Mexico.
