Paula Kay Chacon

June 17, 1965 — June 10, 2019

On June 10, 2019, Paula Kay Chacon (Goddard), 53 years young, departed this earthly life. Her two devoted sons were at her side. She was a wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She came into this world June 17, 1965, born to William and Harriet Goddard in Canton, Ohio.   She had three children from her marriage to Daniel Satterfield: daughter Amanda Pascoe and sons Destry Satterfield, and Joshua Satterfield. Her children loved her immensely and never gave up on her. In her final days she often thanked her children for their care. It is well known her stubbornness and strong spirit were passed on to her children, as was her compassionate heart.    Before she became too ill she loved to bike, hike and cheer on the Pittsburg Steelers with her husband, Darrin.   She had many favorite things in this life. She loved her family, nature, hiking, swimming and fishing, karaoke, animals, camping, music and ice cream. She collected rocks and shoes (so many shoes). She was never scared off from eating raw cookie dough and cake batter (salmonella be damned). Marilyn Monroe was an icon to her. Some of her favorite movies were Mrs. Doubtfire, Mary Poppins, and Grease (she had a life long crush on John Travolta). She loved the earth and would remind you never to litter and always recycle.   She leaves behind her husband, Darrin Chacon of Albuquerque, her father William Goddard of Rio Rancho, her children, Amanda Pascoe and husband Casey of Albuquerque, Destry Satterfield and partner Danielle of Estancia, and Joshua Satterfield of Estancia. Her grandchildren, Harrison Pascoe, Kate Pascoe, Aries Satterfield, Oryan Satterfield, and Emma Satterfield. Brothers Tony Goddard and wife Diane, and James Goddard and wife Suzanne. A niece, Angel Goddard and nephews, A.J. Goddard and Jordan Goddard. Aunties, cousins, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, adopted family members, and friends that were like family.    She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Harriet Goddard (Montoya) and her grandparents Harry and Stella Montoya, Richard and Inez Goddard, and John and Harriet Carnahan. May they all be reunited in heaven together with their savior.   The family is planning a celebration of life, June 22, 2019 12:30-4:00 at Camp Oro Quay in Sandia Park. Paula's family will be spending time talking, laughing, and eating good food in the sunshine, just as she would have liked. Anyone who loved her is welcome to join.
