Maxine Ruth Dahl Obituary Maxine Ruth Dahl was born on July 30, 1929 in Albuquerque, NM to Augustus and Winnie Pearl Gerichs. Maxine met the love of her life, Carl David Dahl, when they were 10 years old. Carl and Maxine wed on July 18, 1947 and were devoted to each other for 74 years. Maxine was the mother of four children: Judy Carlene, Sharon, Darwin and Susan (Dee Dee). She was a Registered Nurse and retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools in 1989 as the school nurse. Her days of retirement were filled with taking care of her grandchildren, playing the piano, painting, writing songs, preaching at their church and cooking family dinners. Her life was truly a testament of steadfast and faithful service to the Lord. Maxine was called to her everlasting home on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in the comfort of her home. She is survived by her son Darwin and wife Tammy, her daughter Judy Carlene and husband John, her daughter Susan (Dee Dee) and husband Bill, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her loving husband, Carl and their daughter, Sharon. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 15th, at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM from 4-6 PM. Funeral service will be held Friday July 16th, at the Stanley Cemetery at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Pallbearers are Darwin Dahl, Bill Wilbanks, Pate Chavez, and Marshal Wilson.
