Matthew James Searle

Matthew James Searle, 65 a long time resident of the East Mountains, passed away March 13, 2024 in Edgewood, NM. Matthew was born December 11, 1958 in Kankakee, IL to James Leo and Mary Matilda (Varvel) Searle. Matthew was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Mark Searle; and one sister Peggy Searle. Matthew was a Paint and Body man and started working on metal when he was just seven years old. He met and married Catherine Carrie Utinske on September 1, 2001 at the Estancia Valley Calvary Chaple. Matthew is survived by his wife Catherine Carrie Adamson-Searle, of Edgewood, NM; two sisters Julie Searle and Sherrie Searle; and niece Krystal Ritter. A funeral service will be held Wednesday April 3, 2024 @ 11:00 am at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM with Pastor Curt Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque, NM.
