Mary Juanita Perea

Obituary Mary Juanita Perea, 90, a longtime resident of Edgewood, NM passed away January 27, 2022 in Rio Rancho, NM. She was born October 31, 1931 in Albuquerque, NM to Felix and Priscilla (Zamora) Chavez. Mary was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Edgewood, NM. Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband Manuel R. Perea in 1999; and two grandsons Andrew Patrick Salas and Caleb Sisneros. She is survived by four sons, Manuel Perea and his wife Rosemary of Albuquerque, NM, Sonny Perea and his wife Marie of Albuquerque, NM, John Perea of Edgewood, NM and Mike Perea and his wife Diane of Albuquerque, NM; four daughters, Kathy Perea of Aurora, CO, Elizabeth Salas of Albuquerque, NM, Sandra Sisneros and her husband David of Santa Rosa, NM, and Priscilla Perea of Edgewood, NM; one brother Eddie Chavez; two step brothers Anthony Hernandez and Joe Hernandez; one sister Jennie Casado; two step sisters Tina Velarde and Helen Barela; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Funeral services are as follows: viewing 9:00 am to 10:00 am, rosary at 10:00 am, Mass at 11:00 am, all at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Edgewood, NM on Tuesday February 1, 2022 with Father Landcaster officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Santa Fe National Cemetery with her husband Manuel R. Perea. Pallbearers will be Isidro Davis, Joseph Salas, Nicholas Perea, Fabian Salas, Jeremy Perea, John Jr Perea, Mauricio Carron and Vicente Salas. Honorary pallbearers will be Maria Davis, and Melissa Gallegos. Funeral services were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary, in Moriarty, NM.
