Marvin Clayton Cavasos

Marvin Clayton Cavasos February 19, 1932 – January 13, 2022 Marvin Clayton Cavasos, 89, passed away January 13, 2022. He was born on February 19th, 1932, in Moriarty, NM to the late Ervin and Eunice (Martin) Cavasos. He was a long-time resident of Moriarty, New Mexico where he worked and enjoyed life at the family home. He enjoyed growing any plant or tree he could help prosper, helping his friends and neighbors with all things automotive, studying his bible and nurturing his grandchildren. He was a Certified Master Technician for over 40 years and could fix anything that didn’t work. He was a Veteran of the Army serving in Korea. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Cavasos; daughter Lynn Cavasos Wilson; son Clay Cavasos; brothers Elvin and Melvin Cavasos; sister Naomi Morris; brothers Alvin and Howard Cavasos. He is survived by his brother, Carl Cavasos (Pearl) of Moriarty, NM; sister Alda May Kirlin of White Lakes, NM; sister Rita Taylor (Bobby) of Arlington, TX, and Nita Downum (Chuck) of McKinney, TX; daughters Kathy Cavasos-Berry (Phil) of Broadview, NM and Kelly Cavasos of Moriarty, NM. Grandchildren Dylan Berry (Desiree) of Dumas, TX. Savannah Wilson of Plainview, AR; Clayton Gonzalez (Xiaoyu) of Albuquerque, NM and Sara Gonzalez of Albuquerque, NM; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
