Markaleen Ann Sturges

Markaleen Ann Sturges, 76, a lifetime resident of Estancia, was called home on Saturday September 30, 2022. She was born November 19, 1945, in Berkley, California to William Dee and Marcella (Smith) Reynolds. Markey attended most of her school years in Estancia where she met and married Herbert Riley. Markey was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a past worthy advisor, in Rainbow girls and member of the Pythian sisters and a member of the Estancia Rotary club. Marky is proceeded in death by her husbands, Herbert Riley, Charley (Bozo) Sturges, her parents Bill and Marcella Reynolds. Marky is survived by son Mark Riley Sr, Daughters, Rheeann Corliss and husband Jimmy, and Patricia Riley-Tenorio. Brother Ronnie Reynolds (Ida), sister, Kathleen Long, Karen Rahm (Richard), Maureen Rawe. And many loving nieces and nephews. Her greatest joys are her Grandchildren: Jada Shiver (Jamey Shiver), Aden Corliss, Mark Riley Jr (Raelynn), Tyler Riley, Jolynda Riley-Hernandez (Javier), and her 9 Great Grandchildren, Mckinzee, Barrett, Bristol Shiver. Bradly, Bailey Riley. Abrianna Hernandez. Jordan Michelle, John Paul, and Dillion Phillips. To know Markey, (AKA) Granny, MOM, Aunt Markey, then you loved her loving, and beautiful soul, she was a blessing to her family and friends a lady with a true heart of gold. Pallbearers will be Aden Corliss, Jamey Shiver, Mark Riley Jr, Tyler Riley, Jimmy Corliss, Javier Hernandez, Bradley Riley, Barrett Shiver, John Paul, and Dillon Phillips. Honorary Pallbearers, All of her Nieces and Nephews Funeral services will be Tuesday October 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM for visitation and 11:00 AM for service at the Eatancia First United Methodist Church with RunnellRiley officiating burial will follow at the Estancia Cemetery. Funeral service were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
