Lura Lucille Jackson

Lura “Lucille” Jackson, 99 passed away on November 5, 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on November 15, 1919 in Eddyville, Illinois to the late Loren and Irene (Dent) Barger. Lucille was a longtime resident of New Mexico and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Jackson and brothers, Matthew Barger, Dave Barger and Paul Barger. Lucille is survived by her sons, Harold D. Jackson and wife Phyllis K. of Albuquerque, NM and Leon Jackson and wife Beverly of Tijeras, NM. And sister, Pauline Friend. Lucille was blessed with 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A Viewing will be on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Harris Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Church of Christ in Moriarty, NM at 2:00 P.M. Minister Johnny Moore and Minister John C. Booth Jr. will officiate. Pallbearers will be Waylon Jackson, Jimmy Avery, Bill Foster, Eloy Lucero, Eli Jackson and Martin Suhr. Burial will be at Mountain Valley Cemetery, New Mexico. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Lucille Jackson’s name.
