Lucia Valdez

Lucia Valdez, 84, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2021. She was born on July 27, 1937 in Tajique, New Mexico to the late Juan and Beatrice (Barela) Chavez. God gained an angel who will forever be loved and missed by all her family and friends. Rip grandma Lucia and Mom. Lucia is preceded in death by her husband, Raymundo Valdez Jr; daughter, Rosemary Lujan and sisters and brothers, Jessie Gutierez, Isabel Barela, Victor Chavez and Alberto Chavez. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ricardo and Cruzita Valdez; brothers, Paul Chavez and Demetro and Josie Chavez; sister, Josie Romero; grandchildren, Carlos Trijillo, Jessica Valdez and Rick Valdez Jr., and great grandchildren, Emma Trijillo, Larissia Valdez, Dante Waters and Trinity Valdez. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October, 16, 2021 at Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Estancia, New Mexico. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. with the Celebration of Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. Arrangements were entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, New Mexico.
