Larry Beryl Gustin

Obituary Larry Beryl Gustin,79, a long time resident of Estancia, NM passed away June 6, 2023 in Edgewood, NM, he was born on March 2, 1944 in San Diego, California to Beryl and Dorothy Gustin. Larry graduated from Estancia High School in 1962 and went to work for Mountain Bell Telephone Company. He married his high school sweetheart Patsy Ruth Moe on June 13th, 1964. Larry and Patsy moved to Los Alamos, NM where their son, Michael Larry was born in 1965. After a short stint in Los Alamos they moved back to Estancia and then to Mountainair where their daughter Melissa Lynn was born in 1968. In 1980, Larry and Patsy bought the local hardware store and named it Gustin Hardware. Along with the hardware, he ran a welding, concrete and construction businesses. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Beryl Gustin, his mother Dorothy Gustin and his brother Daryl Gustin. Larry is survived by his wife Patsy, son Mike Gustin and wife Lisa of Stanley NM, and daughter Melissa Roberts and husband Dwayne of Logan, NM. 5 grandkids: Jennifer Corliss and husband Tate, Caleb Gustin and wife Morgan, Chris Roberts and wife Keeley, Jessica Gustin and fiancé Chase Winchester, Larramy Roberts and wife Baylee. 8 great grandkids: Gideon, Hannah and Titus Corliss, Mallaree Roberts, Jamison and Skyler Winchester, and Kanyon and Krew Roberts. Brothers: Terry Gustin and wife Mary of Belen, NM, Ronnie Gustin and wife Doris of Mountainair, NM, Sister in Law Gloria Gustin of Santa Fe, NM. Numerous nieces, nephews and all the children, families, grandchildren that became his family through the years. Larry’s funeral service will be held Wednesday June 14, 2023; viewing from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm followed by the funeral at 1:00 pm all at the Estancia Middle School Gymnasiun with Wayne Connell officiating. Burial will follow at the Estancia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Caleb Gustin, Chris Roberts, Larramy Roberts, Tate Corliss, Gideon Corliss and Chase Winchester. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Terry Gustin, Ronnie Gustin, The Late Daryl Gustin, Jerry Gustin, Ronnie Schmitz, Lyndle Austin, Wayne Connell, The Late Wes Wells and the Estancia Class of 1962. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
