Kenneth James Bickford Jr.

  Jim Bickford was born in Bangor, Maine to Kenneth Bickford and Arlene Merrill Bickford.  He was their only child and grew up in various cities in Maine and Massachusetts.  He was an accomplished pitcher in high school, but he never pursued a career in baseball. Jim received a degree in Electrical Engineering in the late 1960’s and worked for several companies in New England and New Jersey before moving to the Albuquerque area in the mid-1980s to work at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Jim’s hobby was flying.  He was a licensed pilot who owned his own plane. He settled in Edgewood in a house beside the airfield. In 2007 Jim married Maria Teresa Doloricon.  They had no children and were divorced in 2018.  Jim had congestive heart failure, which caused his passing on June 20, 2019. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 9:30 AM at Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM.
