Katherine Sanchez

Katherine Sanchez, 68 of Estancia, NM entered into rest on Deecember 1, 2022. She was born on May 5, 1954 in Manzano, NM to Julian & Deluvina Romero. Katherine is preceded in death by her husband Raul Sanchez, her parents and brother Anthony Romero. She is survived by her son Carlos Sanchez, her daughter Victoria and husband David Astorga. Her 6 grandchildren, Nathaniel and wife Crystal Astorga, Uriah Astorga, Nazareth Astorga, Isidro Astorga, Nazir Astorga and Uzariah Astorga. Her 4 great-grandchildren, Ilianna, Kordell, Nehemiah & Aubriella. She is also survived by her 5 sisters, Isabel Barela (Ray), Eva Ortiz (Philip), Marie Barela (Gilbert), Angela Montoya (Eddie) & Debbie Sisneros (Alex). Also 3 brothers, Pablo Romero (Adela), Michael Romero (Eliza) & Julian Romero (Gloria) and many nieces and nephews. Katherine was a strong and independent woman who enjoyed working on her yard. She loved grilling and spending any extra time she had with her grandchildren. Late nights playing cards and games with them was her favorite pass time. Her love and knowledge of the Lord shown through the conversations which she shared with her family, friends, coworkers and community. Her sense of humor and strong spirit will be missed by all. A celebration of life will be held Saturday December 10, 2022 at 11am at Calvary chapel Estancia Valley (2 Saline Pump Rd, Moriarty, nm 87035) A reception will be held after the services at the church from 12pm-2pm.
