Joyce Louise Lester

Joyce Louis Lester, 84, passed away March 22, 2020. She was born on July 4, 1935 in Estancia, NM to the late Donald and Mary (Hulcy) Shirley. She was a long time resident of Del Norte, Colorado where she worked and enjoyed life on the family ranch. She moved back to Estancia where she lived for the last few years of her life. She enjoyed playing bridge, putting puzzles together, being in the mountains and going on cattle drives. She was a member of the Colorado Cattlewomens Association. She is preceded in death by her son, Wade Lester: husband Freeman Lester; sisters Jean Williams and Ellen Sue Plant; brother Don Lee Shirley. Joyce is survived by her son, Travis Lester of Alamosa, CO; grandchildren Lacie Lester of Craig, AK, Trevor (Heather) Lester of Monte Vista, CO; Trenton Lester of Canon City, CO; sister Margie (Marvin) Cavasos of Moriarty, NM; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joyce was blessed with five great grandchildren, Taiya Wells, Tyrael and Keira Lester, and Jaxtin and Avarie Lester. A Memorial Service will happen at a later date.
