Jose Audino (Dino) Montoya December 6, 1968 – January 20, 2023 Dino Montoya, 54, passed away on January 20, 2023 in his Moriarty family home. He was born on December 6, 1968, in Ft. Carson, Colorado to the late Herman and Annabelle Montoya. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Euselio and Tomasita (Rael) Montoya and Gome and Adeliada (Martinez) Saiz, uncles Jose Dino Montoya and Ray Montoya, aunt Mary Turner, cousin Andy Martinez; and Frank Papen. Dino is survived by uncle Freddie Montoya and aunt Linda Montoya, aunt Vera Marez, David and Marty King, Mary Kay Papen, Mickey Anaya Allen, as well as numerous cousins, friends, and family members. Dino graduated from Moriarty High School, attended Eastern New Mexico University, and then transferred to New Mexico State University where he received a bachelor’s in government and a master’s in public administration. After college, he accomplished a career in public service. Notable positions include working for Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron, Governor Bruce King, State Treasurer David King, a White House Fellow under President Bill Clinton, the US Department of Agriculture, New Mexico State University, and Allison Smith Legislative Review. Funeral services will be held on February 4, 2023, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. The rosary will be recited at 10am with the Celebration of Mass to follow at 11am. Father Lancaster of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers will be Matthew Bazan, Carlos Anaya, Brian Ortiz, David King II, Kevin King, Jerry King, and Victor Cornejo . Reception to follow service with burial at the Martinez Cemetery in Martinez, NM south of Edgewood, NM.
