Jose Maria Donaciano Lopez

Jose Maria Donaciano Lopez (Chano) Chano passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on the afternoon of September 29, 2018.  He was born on December 16, 1925 in Sena, NM to Luis Lopez and Angelina Chavez.  On October 10, 1953 he married Clorinda (Clora) Encinias in Aurora, NM and they were residents of Stanley, NM for 50 years.  Chano was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many, and he found joy in spending time with his family, visiting the Ranch he grew up on and playing his guitar.  He is preceded in death by his parents Luis Lopez and Angelina Chavez; his wife Clora Encinias; his half sister Luisa Lopez; his daughter-in-law Lina Lopez and great grandchild Aurelina Lopez.  He is survived by his five children and their spouses; Max & Angie, Mary & Paul, Chris & Yolanda, Joe & Lisa and Linda & Fred; and his 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, New Mexico. The Rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. The Celebration of Mass will be on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, NM. Pallbearers will be Julian Lopez, Max Luis Lopez, Christopher Apodaca, Stephen Apodaca, Curtis Apodaca and Paul Alderete Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Max Lopez, Chris Lopez, Joe Lopez, Paul Romero, Fred Apodaca and Lawrence Romero.
