Jose Orlando Garcia

Orlando “Orlie” Garcia was born in Vaughn, NM on March 26, 1952. Orlando was born to his loving parents Orlando and Ernestina Sanchez Garcia. Orlando grew up with his 9 brothers and sisters whom he was very close with even up unto his death. He graduated from Vaughn High School in 1971, he then enlisted into the Air Force where he served for 4 years. He met and then married Margaret Rose Chavez in 1977. They adventured for 9 years before being blessed with kids. Orlando worked for Central New Mexico Coop for 35 years. He retired in 2013 and moved to Lubbock TX in 2014. Orlando was a very caring and giving man. No matter the situation he was always willing to lend a hand. He had a fun and wild side and always enjoyed a social gathering. He was cared for throughout his journey of cancer by the love of his life Margaret and was surrounded with love by his family when he went to be with the Lord. He is proceeded in death by his parents and three siblings Ernest, Leonard and Steve Garcia. He is survived by his wife Margaret Garcia of Lubbock, TX. Daughter Carisima (Anthony) Reynolds of Lubbock, TX. Daughter Micaela (Ben) O’Neal of Benton, AR. Daughter Isabella (James) Walker of Edgewood, NM. Nine grandchild DeeAndre & Easton Reynolds. Ayden, Peyton & Grayson O’Neal. Amari, Mila, Eliana & Madalyn Walker. Sisters: Mabel (Ruben) Encinias. Lorene Garcia. Leticia (Lynn) Tremble. Clara (Albert) Chavez. Brothers: Raymond (Stella) Garcia. Toby (Julie) Garcia. Cousin Albert Gutierrez. Godson Mark Aragon. As well as many nieces and nephews. Celebration of life will be March 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Estancia Valley, NM. Services will be led by Mike Nasci.
