Anthony Jose Encinias, born August 19, 1957. Day of rest October 12, 2022. Preceded in death by grandfathers, Segundo Encinias and Manuel Chavez, grandmothers Catalina Encinias and Tiodorita (Tita) Chavez, father Lizardo Encinias, brother Johnny Encinias and brother-in-law Pat Oberg Loved by many, Anthony is survived by his wife, Roxie Encinias, son Antonio Encinias and partner Maria Kagel, daughter Stephanie Boydston and husband Chris Boydston, grandchildren Isaac, Axe, Joy, Bryce and Jyn along with other adopted grandchildren. Anthony’s memory lives on in his mother Celina Encinias, Tia Florinda, and siblings, Bernie Encinias and wife Susan, Kathy Oberg, Barbara Salas and husband Ereneo, Jacob Encinias, Maria Bourassa, Carmen Jones and husband Mike, Susie Rossginol and husband CJ, Frankie Encinias, along with his godchildren Isaac Tenorio and Dominic Salas. Anthony had multiple nieces and nephews that he also loved very much. He is also survived by his father-in-law Joe Willie Chavez along with multiple brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. Anthony lived his life day by day, always helping anyone he could. He was the handyman that everyone appreciated, and asked for nothing in return. Anthony loved his grandchildren. They brought a certain sparkle to his eyes every time they entered the room. He loved to take care of his cows, they were a tender part of his cowboy way. Never sitting idle, Anthony was always finding stuff to fix, tinker with, or build. He could make something work with even half the screws missing. Anthony was a kindhearted man, a great husband, and devoted daddy. But where he shined most was being Pa, the man that would give everything for his grandkids. Funeral services will be held Saturday Octoner 29,2022; rosary at 10:00 am and mass at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic church in Moriarty, NM with burial to follow at the Tapis, Cemetery in Tapia, NM.
