John Richard Moffitt Jr

We are having a celebration of John Richard Moffitt Jr’s life on Friday, June 17, at 5:30 P.M. We will meet at Crossroads Bible Fellowship Church, 2414 Route 66, Edgewood/Moriarty, NM. Gale Holt and Gary Lawrence will be officiating. John died suddenly, at his home, from heart failure, on May 31, 2022. He was a longtime resident of Moriarty, NM. John was born October 11, 1945, in Evansville, Indiana to John Richard Moffitt Sr. and Betty Jane Moffitt. John Married Cheri Sue Delaney, in Peru, IN, on October 16, 1966. John graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, in 1972. He started and Pastored New Beginnings Community Church in Moriarty, NM for 14 years. John was preceded, in death by his parents and son, John Phillip Moffitt. John is survived by his wife, Cheri, daughter, Misty and Andy Anaya of Moriarty, NM. Brother, Pete Moffitt; sister, Cheryl Mackey; grandchildren, Andrew Anaya, Aaron Anaya, and Avery Anaya. John was friendly, optimistic, warm, charismatic, compassionate, and had a heart of God.
