Jesus Alberto Velasquez

Jesus Alberto Velasquez “Jessy Tuna” of Mountainair passed away on 11-10-2022 at the age of 35. Jessy was born January 20th, 1987, in Lompoc, California. He was the only boy born that day in Lompoc. This made him the center of attention, and he kept that tradition alive till the day of his passing. Jessy was the oldest of 3 children growing up. He constantly demonstrated hard work and determination. However, nothing beat the love for his family. Jessy grew up in Albuquerque, and in his late 20’s he moved to West Texas to work in the oilfields with his brother. He always prioritized his family and put in the work to show it. Later, Jessy returned to Albuquerque to be with his family. His weekends included some of his favorite hobbies, fishing and grilling. The kind and gentle heart he had was instilled in his 3 boys and daughter. This will be a daily reminder of the joy that his life was to his family. Jessy is survived by son Xazyel Alexander Velasquez, son Juan Martin Corona, daughter-in-law Isabel Gurule, Granddaughter Aaliyah Corona, son D’Marco Jay Corona, and daughter Emilia Faith Corona. His mother Cristina Salas, father Jesus Velasquez, wife Crystal Sky Velasquez, sister Sollay Velasquez and brother Gilberto Velasquez.
