Jerry A. Montoya

Jerry A. Montoya Sr., 66, passed away on June 10, 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on July 24, 1952 in Albuquerque, NM to the late Nicholas and Altagracia (Aragon) Montoya. Jerry was a lifetime resident of Tajique, NM. Jerry loved to spend his time riding his Harley, watching wrestling and hunting. He loved listening and playing music but his favorite pastime was playing with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Nick Montoya; sister, Maria Anaya and nephews, Gilbert Montoya and Nicholas Montoya. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Betty Montoya; sons, Jerry Montoya Jr. and wife Emilia and Isidro Montoya and wife Jessica and brother, Louie Montoya and wife Oralia. Jerry was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Augustine, Asha, Nathaniel and Matthew. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Tajique, NM. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. with the Celebration of Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. Pallbearers will be Felix Barela, Rick Chavez, Cecil Chavez, Frank Anaya, Jerry Sanchez and Ernest Padilla. Honorary Pallbearers will be Augustine Montoya and Nathaniel Montoya. Burial will be at the San Antonio Cemetery in Tajique, NM.
