James D. (J.D.) Riley passed away peacefully at home with his family on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 29, 1944. He went to school in Estancia, New Mexico, where he met and married Janie Norman on July 6 1961. They moved to the Globe-Miami area in 1965 and settled in Wheatfields, AZ. James went to work for Inspiration Copper Co. in September of 1965 and was moved to the Rod Plant when it opened. He worked there till he retired in April of 2002. He enjoyed working with horses, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his son, James Robert Riley. J.D. is survived by his wife , Janie(Norman)Riley of the home, his daughter Billie Jane Riley from Globe, Arizona, his sisters; Patsy Riley and Dorothy Greene both of Ewing, New Mexico, five grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of very good friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:30 A.M. at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary Chapel in Moriarty, New Mexico. Interment will be in Estancia, New Mexico at Estancia Cemetery at 12:00 Noon
