James Howlett Forsythe, 82, a longtime resident of Sandia Park, NM, formerly of Jackson, TN, passed away on July 15, 2024, in Edgewood, NM.
James was born on December 14, 1941 in Jackson, TN, to Howlet Forsythe and Marie Petty.
James graduated from North Side High School in Jackson, TN in 1959 and went on to earn a PHD in Law from University of Memphis in 1985. He started his career working in the computer industry, but later became an Attorney starting his own law practice.
James married Patti Lou Van Cleave on May 31, 1959 in Jackson, TN. The couple had one son, James Christopher of Sandia Park, NM.
James is survived by son James Christopher and his wife Christi Forsythe, of Sandia Park, NM; sister Joanne Bunch and her husband Michael Bunch, of Jackson, TN; brother William and his wife Vicki of Jackson, TN; one grandson Jordan Loehr Forsythe, of Sandia Park, NM; one granddaughter Kasey Loehr Forsythe, of Sandia Park, NM.
James is preceded in death by his wife Patti Lou Forsythe, father Howlet Forsythe, mother Marie Petty.
A Graveside funeral for James Howlett Forsythe will be held on Tuesday July 23,2024, at 10:00 am at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, NM.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM.
