James Irvin Collins

James Irvin Collins, 89, passed away on April 11, 2019 in Moriarty, New Mexico. He was born on January 19, 1930 in Cashion, OK to the late Irvin and Zola (McMahon) Collins. James was a longtime resident of NM and a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Moriarty. James is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bettye Smith; brothers, Don Collins and Delmer Collins and sisters, Gene Goodman, Ruth Gilbert and Carol Langston. James is survived by his son, Steven L. Collins and wife Carla of Albuquerque, NM and grandson, C.J. Collins. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM.  Reverend Robert Hunt and Reverend Leslie Barnett will Officiate. Pallbearers will be Fred Apodaca, Anthony Salazar, Scott Davis, Steve Collins, Paul Padilla and C.J. Collins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronald Davis, Roy Hinze and Socorro Hernandez. In lieu of flowers please donate to Bethel United Methodist Church, Enchantment Legacy or Torrance Co. Senior Citizens.
