Irma Ann Wolf

Irma Ann Larson Wolf, 64, of Moriarty, NM, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM.  Irma was born May 31, 1954 in Albuquerque to Voyle Arley and Lois Rebecca (Davis) Larson. Irma grew up on the family farm south of Moriarty where she enjoying working with animals and helping on the farm.  She graduated from Moriarty High School in 1974.  She enrolled in the local 4H club at an early age and excelled with her horse project.  Her special love was her horse, Princess, which she raised from a filly.   Her hard work earned her several recognitions and the praise of her family, friends and 4H leaders. While in high school she participated in FFA, showing swine at the Torrance County and NM State Fairs. Following high school graduation she worked and trained at Goodwill Industries in Albuquerque. Irma lived a short time in Garden City, KS where she met Ralph Wolf.  Ralph and Irma married in July 1977.  Daughters, Diana and Faith, were born to them.  Irma later returned to the Moriarty area where she lived until her death.  Over the years Irma attended Moriarty First Baptist Church and Sandia Baptist Church.  She enjoyed participating in bowling at Special Olympics.  Much of her time was spent crafting jewelry. Irma is survived by daughters Diana Wolf of Albuquerque, Faith (Christopher) Smeenk of Richland, WA, brothers Donald (Barbara) Larson of Alcoa, TN, Bill (Marilyn) Larson of Moriarty, NM,  sisters Frances (Walter) Davis of Moriarty, NM, Norma (Gary) Brownlee of Sabetha, KS, grandsons Cody, Clayton and Ryan Smeenk and ten nieces and nephews. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Voyle A and Lois R Larson. A memorial service is planned for October 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church, at 10:00.  Internment will be at the Mountainview Cemetery in Moriarty, NM.
