Ignacio Macario Salas

January 27th, 1946 – November 25th, 2024

Ignacio “Nash” Salas 78 of Mountainair, New Mexico Peacefully passed away after losing his battle with cancer. Ignacio was born January 27th, 1946, in Torreon to Ignacio Salas and Rosita Gabaldon Salas of Torreon. Nash lived with his wife Maria Rita in their home in Mountainair. 

Nash was known for his big heart and his love for his family, just seeing or hearing from his family would brighten his whole day, He was extremely gracious, and he loved to laugh and joke. He loved his walks. He was a dedicated hard worker, with patience, and he loved God. He put a smile on everyone’s face and was an incredible inspiration. He was the best dad he could be, and his children were blessed to have him in their lives.

Ignacio is preceded in death by his father Ignacio Salas of Torreon Mother Rosita Salas, Brother Desiderio Salas, Brother Jimmy Salas, Niece Donette Turrieta and Great Grandson Zander Uriah Gurule.

He is survived by his Wife Maria Rita, his Son Paul Ignacio Salas, Bonifacio Paul Salas and Daughter Judyth Rose Perea and husband Efren Perea. His Brothers Herman and Macario (Lucille) of Torreon and Sisters Mary (Sam), Lita, Bertha (Elfigo), Donna, Angie. His Grand Children Jessica, Arthur, Tommy Lee, Vanessa (Dominic), Krystal, Pablo, Zackariah and Great grandchildren Landon, Anya, Dominic Ignacio and Lyncoln and many nieces and nephews. He loved so big! He will be truly missed. 

Services for Ignacio will be held December 12, 2024 at St. Anthony 4 Church Rd. Torreon, NM 87061. Rosary begins at 10 am, Mass begins at 11 am. Burial will follow.
