Obituary Homer Columbus Corvin, 91 a long time resident of Stanley, NM, passed away October 26, 2022 in Stanley, NM. Homer was born March 4, 1931 in Rincona, NM to Albert Flint and Jewell Vashti (Salmon) Corvin. Homer married Phyllis Mae Phillips on September 24, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM. Homer is preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis, his wife of 68 years; brothers Samuel and Orman; sisters Margaret, Wanda and brother-in-law George Walden. Homer was a man of great faith whose humble example blessed his entire family. He served our country in the Korean Conflict from 1951-1953 in the 106th Ordinance Co. After separation from active duty to reserves, he began a paint contracting business that still exists today. Homer enjoyed his livestock- chickens, mules, cattle and horses. Homer is survived by two sons, Ronald Ray Corvin and his wife Paula, and H. Chris Corvin and his wife Cindie; three daughters, Wanda Kay Corvin, Wretha May Strode, and Wynetta Gay Nichols and her husband Allen; one sister Lois Walden; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Stanley Union Church with pastor Tim Falling officiating, burial will follow at the Stanley Cemetery. Pallbears will be Ronnie Corvin, Zeb Corvin, Chris Corvin, Will Corvin, Bobby Eden, and Jesse Eden. Honorary Pallbearers will be Luke Corvin, Nick Corvin, Steven Corvin, Jacob Corvin, Wanda Corvin, and John McCauley. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary
