Gregory David Resner, AKA, Papa/ Big Hoss, 71, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away Friday September 20, 2024 at his home with his loving family beside him. Greg was born April 24, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to David Roy and Margaret Ann (Simms) Resner. He married Tina Louise Gonzales on September 4, 1976 in San Jose, California. Greg was a hardworking and talented man who left a lasting impact on those who knew him. He loved working with his hands, whether it was building, landscaping, or restoring classic cars. Two of his proudest projects were his Studebaker truck, which he built from the ground up, and his beautifully restored hardtop Bel-Air. He loved sharing wild stories from his younger years, regaling friends and family with tales of adventure and mischief. Greg also enjoyed collecting model cars and trains, and whenever possible, he'd slip away on fishing and camping trips. Through his unwavering dedication, strong work ethic, and joyful spirit, Greg inspired many with his remarkable life. Greg will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Louise Resner of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; one daughter, Angela Resner of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; two sons, Nathan Arena of San Jose, California, and Joshua Resner of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister, Cheryl LeFore; one nephew Eric; 10 grandchildren, Brianna, N’Sharra, Melissa, James, Cruz, Kennedy, Lainey, Julia, Sophia and Deante; and four great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were entrusted the Harris-Hanlon Moriarty in Moriarty, New Mexico.
