George Nash Vigil

August 26, 1957 — July 4, 2022

George N Vigil, beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed peacefully surrounded by his family on July 4th, 2022, at the age of 64. George was born August 26th, 1957, to his parents John and Adeliada Vigil. He graduated from Moriarty High School and was a proud pinto. George fathered his four children Jeff, Angie, Amanda, and Amy in Golden New Mexico. George was very involved in his children and grandchildren’s activities. Driving all across the state to support in rodeos, track meets, soccer games, softball games, motocross, and anything else they wanted to do. He enjoyed spending time with family and sharing his wealth of knowledge in music. George will be remembered for his character, sense of humor, and love for his family. Anyone that knew him, knows he never took anything too seriously. He is survived by his father John Vigil, his son Jeff Polanco and life partner Christina Anderson, his daughters Angie (Tuff) Vigil and life partner Brandon Mason, Amanda (Cody) Massey and her husband Danny, Amy (Lane) Alderette and her husband John Paul, his brothers John Vigil Jr and wife Lupe and Laurence Vigil and wife Marylou and sisters Jeanette Myers and Dee Ries and husband Greg and his seven grandchildren Branden, Ashton, Brandie, Otto, Georgie, Casia, and Colt. He is preceded in death by his mother Adeliada, brother-in-law and friend Jeff Myers, and Niece and friend Josyln (JC) Vigil. The family invites friends and family to celebrate George’s life on Saturday July 16th at 10 in the Tijeras Baptist Church 11820 NM-337, Tijeras, New Mexico. Reception to follow.
