Geoffrey G. Gatewood,57, passed away on March 22, 2020 in Edgewood, New Mexico. He was born on September 25, 1962 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Geoffrey was the youngest of four boys and was a very rambunctious child. He moved to Indiana shortly after birth but then came back to New Mexico in grade school. He spent most of his spare time doing home improvements on the family home. This was the house his father, brothers and Geoffrey himself built. He took great pride in that home. Geoffrey loved to scuba dive and went on many underwater excursions with his life-long friend, Steve Klotzback. He was also a Harley man and loved to ride his sportster anytime he could. Geoffrey did several charity rides in and around NM. He even rode all the way from NM to Sturgis on his sportster. He had an amazing connection with animals, so much so, that most of the ones that wondered around his property just seemed to stay. He especially loved his wolves, and at one time had three of them. The sound of their howls on the mountain is something unexplainable. Geoffrey is survived by his brothers David Gatewood and Kevin Gatewood, his daughter Raeanna Sanchez and his three grandchildren Taylor, Domonic, and Lucas, and his nieces and nephew Tayla Gatewood, Darienne Brandt, Devan Brandt, and Lydia Hanson, all of whom he loved like his own children. Geoffrey will be very missed, thought of often and forever in our hearts. A service will be held at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty on June 20 at 11 am.
